In which I review Disney’s Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE starring that guy from Sherlock with the funny name.
Out now in audiobook: my latest book Welcome to Undershaw. A book any Sherlock Holmes fan, Undershaw supporter, and Doyle enthusiast should own. The audiobook is an immersive way to learn about the Sir Arthur and Undershaw!
Welcome to Undershaw was written on behalf of the DFN Foundation. They wanted a biography that captured the history of Sir Arthur’s life and his home Undershaw, where Stepping Stones school now resides. The book is a wonderful testament to the doctor-author’s life and writings and uniquely tells his story through his creative endeavours.
Undershaw was the Surrey home of Arthur Conan Doyle between 1897-1907. Built lovingly for his wife Touie to help treat her ongoing battle with tuberculosis, Arthur created a haven for his wife and family. It was here he wrote The Hound of The Baskervilles, brought Sherlock Holmes back to life in “The Empty House”, and entertained guests such as writer J.M. Barrie, illustrator Sidney Paget, renowned actor William Gillette, and more. Welcome to Undershaw explores the early life of Arthur Conan Doyle through to his departure from Undershaw. You will see he was more than just the creator of Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle was a man of adventure with a passion for chivalry and knights, theatre and politics, sports and travel.
Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss take a page or two from Skyfall/Spectre and SAW in the dud of a finale that see’s Sherlock, John, and Mycroft trapped in Eurus’ zany house of horrors…
